Never get medical treatment from clients or barkeepers! This can cause allergies and can be very dangerous.

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) never disappear on their own. Get professional treatment!

Many STIs are spread through contact with the mucous membrane, e.g. by kissing, giving a blow job or licking someone’s anus.

You might be infected by an STD and not know for weeks or even months!

Many STIs hide behind other diseases. Syphilis for example might start like the flu. With some STIs you don’t notice anything at all!

One thing is true about all sexually transmitted diseases: The earlier you get them treated the better the chance is to heal them.

If you work as a sex worker you should be checked for STIs at least once or twice a year.
